CREC_LOGO_ACRONYM_RGBChrist Church, Spokane, is gladly part of a confederation known as the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC).

The CREC is a gathering of churches that is thoroughly Trinitarian, historically Reformed, and warmly evangelical. We are seeking to build communities of believers that begin each week with God-honoring worship in order to joyfully extend the fruit of that worship into every day of the week through our families, our friendships and our vocations. The church is the Body of Christ, and from this central truth flow all the issues of life.

Since our beginning in 1998, the CREC has steadily grown and expanded her gospel ministry throughout the world. There are now member churches in nine countries and on three continents. We are constantly fielding inquiries from churches and pastors around the world. Our stateside and foreign churches are active in planting new mission churches. It is our desire to be responsive and helpful to all who inquire about our communion and her related ministries. Those related ministries include mission works, and one church-affiliated liberal arts college, New St. Andrews (Check out NSA’s vision video – It’s excellent).

Our desire is to further the work of God’s Kingdom throughout the earth and to see the gospel ministry prosper so that the kingdoms of this world increasingly are manifested as the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ (Rev. 11:15). We work toward the day that every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Phil 2:10, 11).

As the CREC continues to grow, we are humbled by the Lord’s kindness and patience with us. By God’s grace, we intend to continue laboring together with a spirit that is generous in its catholicity and robust in its commitment to Reformed orthodoxy.

Our gathering of churches is not intended as a separation from other orthodox believers who confess the name of Christ, but rather as a gathering within that broader church, that we might work together effectively for the reformation of the church and the redemption of the world.
